The Ben and Marion Celani Residence Hall was dedicated
August 31, 2006 and is now home to almost 250 CMU students.
The residence hall is named for the parents of Tom Celani,
who attended CMU in the 1970's and received an honorary
doctorate from CMU in 2004. Prominent in several businesses
including Luna Entertainment and the Motor City
Harley-Davidson and Buell dealerships, Tom Celani never
forgot his time at CMU and the friendships he developed.
Celani Hall has five floors and contains four person, four bedroom, two-bathroom suites. there is an additional 30% room charge for this building. The new air conditioned building is smoke-free. Each bedroom contains moveable furniture, including a bed that may be lofted, a wardrobe, a student desk and chair. Cable and telephone hook-up is also available in each bedroom.
The shared living room contains a small sink. This area contains no university furniture, so students may make that their collective, personalized space.
The East Campus also boasts classroom space, a fitness center, a
convenience store, study lounges, laundry rooms and a
Student Success Center.
